One of the benefits of using the Propeller app and sensors is being able to see trends in your inhaler usage over time. The “Trends” tab (located along in the menu bar along the bottom of your app screen) is the place to view your inhaler trends, patterns and visualize your usage over time.
You can view your inhaler trends in two time windows: one week or thirty days. To change between the time windows, tap “Week” or “30 Days” at the top of the “Trends” tab. To go back in time and see your inhaler data for past weeks or months, tap the arrows to the left and right of the date range.
For Propeller users with asthma, the first section on the “Trends” tab is your level of asthma control, however this information is only visible in the “30 Days” time window. You can learn more about your Asthma Control Score by clicking here.
Each of the medications you track using Propeller will appear as a separate chart on the “Trends” tab, so you can visualize your inhaler usage for each medication. For controller medications taken on a schedule, you’ll be able to see your adherence percentage for that time window (learn more about how Propeller calculates adherence here.
If you’re using a rescue inhaler, the “Rescue Usage Trends” section will show you patterns related to how often you’ve been using your rescue inhaler. These include which days of the week you most often use it, what times of day you’ve been using your rescue inhaler, the number of nighttime rescue usages in the time window, how many preemptive rescue usages you’ve had, and your most common triggers and symptoms.
