Knowing when and how often you’re using your inhaler can help you understand how in control you are of your breathing and how to avoid things that make it difficult to breathe. By knowing what causes your symptoms, you can start avoiding those things, so you have fewer symptoms and feel better.
The Propeller sensors fit onto your inhalers. When you take your medication, the sensor records the date and time of that event.
The sensors then send that information to your smartphone or tablet using Bluetooth™ wireless technology. However, unlike other Bluetooth™ wireless technology like speakers, Propeller sensors aren't always connected to your phone. They check in and try to communicate every few hours (or when you use them). This helps save your phone battery and allows the sensors to last 12-18 months with no charging!
Check out the Propeller app to guide you through the process of connecting your sensors!
If you don’t have sensors, you can still track your medication use through the app. Check out this article if you’re not sure how to do that.
