What is the COPD Report?
Love the insights you've been gaining from your sensors but want to see the data displayed visually? Good news! We've created COPD Reports to conveniently view and share your Propeller data. Your reports will give you more detailed insight to the status of your COPD and help identify ways to improve your COPD control. On the tenth of each month, you'll receive an email with your COPD Report attached as a PDF. It will give you information from the last 30 days of your COPD medication use. You can view all your past reports, as well as generate a new report at any time, in the Propeller Health app.
What's in the COPD Report?
Note: All images used on this document are from a Propeller test environment and contain no actual patient information.
1 - Rescue Use: We break down the past 7 days to show how many times each day you needed to use your rescue inhaler. Breaking down the last 7 days gives your doctor better insight into your current condition and how you're feeling. They can use this information, in addition to discussions around how you feel, to watch for acute exacerbations and immediate needs.
2 - Nighttime Rescue Usage: Our system considers "night" to be between the hours of 10pm and 7am. Knowing how often you use your rescue inhaler at night helps determine what might be causing your symptoms. When people routinely experience symptoms at night, it could indicate that other issues, such as sleep apnea, are present.
3 - Rescue Baseline: This lets you see the average number of times a day you needed to use your rescue inhaler in the last 7 and 30 days. Understanding your baseline (average rescue usage) over the last 30 days and comparing that number to the last 7 days allows your doctor to see any recent change. When they see your rescue inhaler usage increase, this can indicate that you are having more symptoms and may need additional medications or adjustments to your current treatment plan.
4 -Controller Adherence: Here we look at the number of times you took your daily controller inhaler over the last 30 days and compare that with what is prescribed. If you'd like to learn more about how we calculate adherence, try this article.
5 - Daily and Weekly Average Rescue Trends: This portion of the report breaks down the times you use your rescue inhaler into daytime, afternoon, evening and night. We also look at each day of the week. Knowing the time of day and day of the week when you use your rescue inhaler the most can give you and your doctor better insight into what might be causing your symptoms. This can also help direct conversation around ways to help prevent or control those triggers.
6 - Rescue Medication Usage Graph: This graph shows the number of puffs taken from your rescue inhaler each day over the last 30 days. Seeing information presented this way allows you and your doctor to easily see what your inhaler use looked like over the last month. It's also important to compare these graphs each month to see if any potential progression of the disease or a need for medication change.
7 - Controller Medication Usage Graph: This graph shows the percentage of controller inhaler medication take each day over the last 30 days. When your doctor prescribes a daily controller inhaler, their goal is for you to take that medication each day, regardless of how you're feeling. You and your doctor can see how often you are using your controller inhaler and look for any patterns that may be preventing you from using it as prescribed.
How do I view my report?
Once you sync your sensor for the first time and start using Propeller, you will receive an email with your report on the tenth of each month. When your report is ready we'll send you a push notification and a reminder in the app that your report is ready to view. You can also view a report for the past 30 days of data within the app.

What if I didn't receive an emailed report?
We can only display data that we're given from your sensors. If you haven't had your Propeller sensors for more than 3 weeks or if you haven't synced recently, you may not receive an email with your report. If you need help getting your sensors synced, check out this article.
